
Kate Marsh
Kate Marsh is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE), with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Kate works in private practice in Sydney and has a particular interest in diabetes, insulin resistance, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and vegetarian nutrition. She is the chairperson of the DAA National PCOS and Vegetarian Interest Groups and has been part of a working party which has developed a set of guidelines and nutrition resources for dietitians to use in educating vegetarians clients. Kate also consults to Diabetes Australia NSW, providing content for their website and writing a regular column for their magazine, is on the editorial advisory group for the ADEA (Australian Diabetes Educators) magazine and Diabetic Management Journal and writes for Diabetic Living Magazine and the Australian Vegetarian Society Magazine.
Kate is currently undertaking her PhD at the University of Sydney looking at the benefits of a low GI diet in the management of insulin resistance in women with PCOS and is co-author of The Low Gi Guide To Managing Pcos and The Low Gi Vegetarian Cookbook.
